As I get closer and closer to the dreaded thirty there are several changes that I know that I just have to make in order to live a healthier lifestyle. That means I can no longer eat a dozen cupcakes in the name of the “Treat Yo Self” mentality (though I’d really love to). I can’t operate on 3 hours of sleep and expect to be a fully functioning human the next day. And I certainly can no longer just frolic in the sun without protecting my skin.

I am deathly afraid of wrinkles and sun damage, so my plan is to stay forever young, at least look forever young has to encompass some form of daily protection. I’m going to be all the way honest with you, even though I’ve always known better, SPF and I have never had a great relationship. On a daily basis I can’t say that I truly protect my skin with much more than my daily moisturizer. Especially during the winter months, I take very little precaution to prevent sun damage, because the sun isn’t out for very long anyway. (PS: That is absolutely the wrong way to think)

Why Is It So Hard To Find Good SPF Products?

good SPF products

During the spring and summer season when the sun is more prevalent, I simply just can’t be bothered to deal with the hassle of daily usage. Sunscreen isn’t sexy guys! There I said it! I find that most of the experiences I’ve had using sunscreen have been extremely problematic for me, and definitely take away from the perfect impromptu selfie. I’ve tried different types and have always been left with a greasy heavy feeling on my skin (especially on my face) that would often leave behind a sticky white residue. Worst of all incorporate sunscreen with makeup and the flash of a camera and you’ve got some serious flashback on your hands.

I stumbled onto the Olay Whips with SPF moisturizer while shopping at Walgreens while I was trying to purchase Olay Whips. You might have seen my review for the Olay Luminous Whip moisturizer a few months ago (if you haven’t you can read up on it here) where I fell in love with this new Active Rush technology that moisturized the driest of skin all day. When I went to make my purchase, I saw it now had a sister product with the same amazing Active Rush Technology that holds and released 1000x its weight in hydration PLUS SPF 25. I knew I had to give it a try.

Fast forward 2 months later I get to review the same product I was already in love with. I brought the Olay Whips with SPF moisturizer with me to Cuba because there was no way I was chancing my face being sunburnt by the hot Cuban sun. I knew that this moisturizer would hold it down two- fold by providing not only SPF protection, but leaving my face perfectly moisturized without leaving behind any oily or sticky residue. Multi-tasking products are always the BOMB and with the seven different benefits delivered to your face, your skin will be looking healthier quickly. And I have used it as a moisturizer before makeup application, and it passes the flash test each and every time.

I love a product that provides me with more than what I expect (this way I always feel like I’m getting my money’s worth and then some). Besides just giving you protection from the sun,  you get long lasting hydration (so you don’t have to apply a million times a day- which means your product will last longer DUH) and a ton of anti-oxidants to help condition the surface of your skin.

I use the Olay Whips with SPF moisturizer as a part of my daily routine in the morning. Now I just need Olay Whips with SPF for the entire body and my forever young plan will be 100 percent sun proof! Convenience is key, to get your hands on the Olay Whips with SPF moisturizer at Walgreens or purchase on line here.
