Nope this isn’t click bait you read that title correctly! Some say that being a naturalista is expensive… and if you’ve been following for a while, or even for just a little bit you know that claim is false. Figuring out what is best for your hair is a way more difficult and time consuming job, so actually getting the products shouldn’t be!
Besides keeping my wash day time to a minimum, I like to keep my wash day cost within my budget as well (I’m a teacher… every cent counts). Now while attempting to cut corners on dollars, I refuse to cut corners on quality. So in doing so I looked for brands that met the following three requirements:
a. A brand that had products that I already loved
b. A brand with products that are cost effective and fit into my budget
c. A brand with quality ingredients that wouldn’t damage my hair
Thats when I realized… ahaha (yes actual finger in the air), I’ve already been in love with Aussie’s 3 Minute Miracle “Moist” as a budget friendly deep conditioner ( ahem… just check my 6 previous posts about Aussie) for the two years! Plus they are a curly girl friendly brand so your curls will be on fleek ladies! But just exactly how can you accomplish an entire wash day for ten dollars with only one brand? Easy… here we go! (and yes… I’m totally wearing dope purple Aussie glasses!)
How To Do Your Entire Wash Day For Ten Dollars
1. Cleansing: Depending on how you decide to cleanse your tresses you can take two various routes, both budget friendly and both offered through Aussie. If you are a shampoo user, I personally love/recommend the Total Miracle 7N1 Shampoo because it contains Aloe and Jojoba to help strengthen your hair against damage. If you are more of a co-washer I vote the Aussie Moist Conditioner (a personal all time fave of mine). Both products will cost you a whopping $2.50-$2.99 a bottle for full size products!! Can you scream FISCALLY FABULOUS!
Aussie Moist Conditioner Ingredients: Water, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Fragrance, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Ecklonia Radiata Extract, Bis-Aminopropyl Dimethicone, Benzyl Alcohol, Edta, Glutamic Acid, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone
2. Deep Conditioning: Deep conditioner is an important factor in keeping your hair moisturized during the week. Whether or not you choose to add heat to your deep conditioning process/treatment you are still going to want to start off with a good base, and that lies in choosing a good deep conditioner. AUSSIE’s 3 Minute Miracle line offers several options that I’ve toyed around with. The Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Strong Conditioning Treatment is for hair that is weak or damaged and it lengthens the life of your locks by helping reduce damage. I personally love love love the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist Conditioning Treatment but like I said, choose what is right/best for your hair. The “Moist” line got an upgrade and is now a shampoo and conditioner (the heavens opened up for me on that one!). So depending on what your hair needs, you’ve got a few deep condition options with Aussie. Price tag: 2.50!
3. Styler: If you are a wash and go addict or use gels with your styling products or as a main styling product itself you’ve also got two options. Try out the Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Hair Gel for maximum hold. There are other varieties of Aussie Hair Gel that suit different hair porosities and textures – choose what works best for you. I have also tried the Aussie Aussome Volume Styling Gel.
And with that you have a full plethora of products for your wash day that didn’t cost over ten dollars! And yes… puppy approves this message! You can buy Aussie in store locally or you can head to Amazon (I buy everything off of Amazon) and grab these products! If you have PRIME even better, you won’t even have to wait long!
