July Fitsnack Subscription Box Review @FitSnack

If you’ve been following along for the past few months then you know that I absolutely love love love my Fitsnack Subscription box and it is the only one I’ve been keeping up with. To find my thoughts on my previous June or April subscription box you can check here.

OVERVIEW: FitSnack is a subscription box service that hand picks great tasting, healthy foods and delivers them to your door step on a monthly basis. So I figure why not kick off my unboxing series this month with a subscription box that is helping me reach my fitness goals!!!

FitSnack takes into consideration everyone’s different monetary limits and has various plans with different pricing. The basic one month subscription box cost is 15 dollars a month plus shipping & handling. For 15 bucks a month you can have a box filled (and I do mean FILLED) with healthy snacks that can help get you back on track to meeting your TNT Summer Ready goals! The box certainly pays for itself and then some when you evaluate the cost of these products individually vs. the total cost of the box.

IPS Egg White Chips (11.99 16oz)- sample

I was sent two IPS bags (barbecue and cinnamon flavored). I’ve been sent these chips before in other health boxes but this was the first time I actually tasted them. They don’t taste anything like eggs which I was fearful of. The cinnamon flavor actually tasted like a strange variation of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and the barbecue flavor tasted like your standard barbecue chips. Each bag of chips consists of 6 grams of protein, is gluten free and non GMO.

CocoHydro Powder (10.91/9.7oz)- sample

I’m not a fan of coconut water at all so this item was gifted. It does seem like an interesting product overall. It is instant coconut water (think Kool Aid mix) that has naturally occurring nutrients and electrolytes.

Safe Catch Tuna (21.00 for a 6 pack of 5oz cans)– full size

I don’t eat seafood at all so this was another product that was gifted to family members. What I will say is interesting and awesome about this product (even though I didn’t actually try it) is that it is the ONLY brand that tests every single fish for mercury levels. Their motto is to eat pure and live pure so I feel comfortable giving this to my dad who has very strict eating conditions.

SweetWood Cattle Spices- full size

I used this seasoning today for the first time so I’m not sure if I love or hate it since I used it to prepare lunch for tomorrow. I will say it did have a bit of a different fragrance that I wasn’t used to as a constant user of Adobo. I will keep you posted/updated about my thoughts. It is a Bacon/Bourborn flavor so I’m expecting good things!

Bite Fuel Power Bites Protein Cookies (2.59/ 3 0z)Full size

I wasn’t expecting to actually like these because sometimes protein foods can be a little icky. These were actually really good but they are super dense and thick you will need a beverage after you have eaten them. There are also about 6 cookies in there which I ate very quickly so don’t expect this to be a snack that lasts but the 6 cookies will make you extremely full.

Fitmiss Vanilla Chai Delight (25.00/ 1 LB) – sample

I haven’t tried this yet but I was interested to see how it would work/make me feel as I’ve never really tried a liquid protein supplement before. I’ve heard great things about the taste and effects so I will be giving this a shot at some point in the near future.

Bear Naked Granola (3.48/12 oz)- sample

I received some samples of this in a previous Fitsnack box and I wasn’t a huge fan of them. Yes I do usually love granola but the flavors that have come along haven’t really done it for me. I handed these packets off to my brother to add to the top of his yogurt or oatmeal in the morning.

Big Tree Farms Coconut Sugar (bonus item)- sample

This item was marked as a bonus item and unfortunately I try to avoid everything coconut flavored so I handed this interesting sugar packet off to my father to try in his tea or coffee. I also don’t add sweeteners to anything so this was just not going to happen for me as a whole.

One Bar Fruit Bar  (1.29 each) – full size

This bar offers a full serving of fruit. Again… just the luck of the draw I don’t do mango so I didn’t give this bar a shot but the concept is quite interesting and is great for people who are always on the go. This is a much healthier alternative than granola bars that are filled with sugar.

FINAL THOUGHTS: Overall I give this fit snack box a 3.5/5 this month because of the amount of things I had to give away. However the box did come with three full size products as well as 7 sample size products which is more than enough to cover the 15 bucks of the box. I highly recommend this box for anyone looking to snack healthier or get some new options on what to eat if you are turning over a newer healthier leaf. You can get your hands on your own Fitsnack box here and as a loyal TNT reader you also get a workout bag. This bag is sturdy and durable and you will definitely get tons of use out of it.
