delicious simple 3 ingredient vegan pizza

Word on the street is I make a mean Vegan pizza!! Since I transitioned into a vegan lifestyle back in February of this year I’ve had some ups and downs in the kitchen. Most of the ups I’ve documented here, and the downs I don’t even bother to post. (sometimes I do try it again to make sure it was an absolute fail). I tried Vegan cheese twice during the beginning of my journey. First I tried Go Veggie Vegan American Cheese Slices for my grilled cheese, and Daiya Cheddar Cheese Shreds for my baked macaroni attempt. Both were a fail on my part. I did try the Daiya cheese again for a baked ziti type meal and it was much better. Still wasn’t anything I’d brag about or crave/make frequently. I did have a few good experiences with vegan cheese when I would go to restaurants (Top 5 Vegan Restaurants in New York)


I was beginning to lose faith that I would ever find a Vegan cheese that I loved and was getting sadder and sadder by the minute thinking I’d really have to live the rest of my life without ever having pizza again. Fast forward to a few weeks ago while going through the Dairy aisle in Trader Joes and I found a miracle in disguise! Well… two miracles really!  Trader Joes has really been my saving  grace during my transition to Vegan life (Best Vegan Snacks From Trader Joes) and if you have never been you are truly missing out!


Trader Joes has been a Godsend really for all of my dietary changes so it is no surprise that their Garlic & Herb Ready to Cook Pizza dough was vegan and delicious. Throw in their Pizza Sauce and Vegan Mozzarella Style Shreds and you are in pizza heaven! So much so that even non Vegans can’t tell the difference (my brother ate half the pie and didn’t realize it wasn’t “real” cheese). I’ve made this pizza twice so far, and without fail absolutely yummy. You can count on it that I’ll be making it a third time this weekend for sure. Best of all the ingredients cost me under 10.00 to buy, I can make a full pie, and it fits the bill for a delicious cheese pizza just for me! Another pro: it’s 10 minutes of prep at most, and 25 minutes of cooking before you can dive in.  Thirty five minutes for dinner to be served… count me in!


Delicious Simple 3 Ingredient Vegan Pizza Recipe

So here’s all you need to make this Cheesy, gooey, delicious simple 3 ingredient vegan pizza… get ready for me to blow your mind.



  • Trader Joes Garlic + Herb Ready To Bake Pizza Dough (or any flavor you want)
  • Trader Joes Vegan Mozzarella Style Shreds
  • Trader Joes Pizza Sauce
  • *All purpose flour  + Olive Oil (to “grease” the pizza pan)

DIRECTIONS: Get out your pizza pan and throw some all purpose flour and olive oil (very little) onto it to help the dough spread and avoid sticking. Take the Trader Joes Garlic + Herb Ready To Bake Pizza dough out of the wrapper and spread it evenly onto the pizza pan. This dough spreads to about 12 inches (enough to make a medium sized pizza). You can mess around with the crust area to make it a thin crust, deep dish…etc. Add on about 4-5 tablespoons of pizza sauce. The first time I made it I used way too much sauce and cheese therefore it took longer to cook thoroughly and I still think I had saw raw spots that wouldn’t cook without burning the cheese and crust. You want to make sure the dough is covered with sauce, but not heavily. Add on the mozzarella shreds (about 4-5 handfuls). Place into the oven for 20-25 minutes or when the cheese starts to bubble/ and the crust starts to look golden brown. Then remove, let cool, cut into slices and dig in!
