2018 has brought about tons of amazing things in only 6 short weeks, and I am so excited about what is to come for the rest of the year. What I am not excited about… turning 30 years old. In fact I am dreading it. Why? Because although for the moment I “look good for my age”, I know that aging can be extremely unpredictable. One minute you look fantastic, and the next day every part of your body starts heading south (thanks a lot gravity).

In order to proactively combat the aging process, I’ve started taking much better care of my skin. Why? Because it’s a common known fact that you should alter your skin care regimen when you’re almost 30! And even if you’re light years away from 30, or you’re already beyond thirty… this is all about putting your best face forward!

But just what do you have to do to maintain your youthful skin and keep aging at bay?

Anti-Aging Skin Care Regimen When You’re Almost 30

STEP 1: You need to know the problem before you can solve it. Whether you’re 20, 30 or 40… your skin will behave differently at different times of your life. That is why I was so thankful for the Olay Skin Advisor Tool at Sam’s Club It was a simple process I could do sitting down, right at the comfort of my couch. You take a selfie (the site tells you how to do it for best results), and answer a few easy questions about your skin. Once that’s done you get your “skin age” and a personalized regimen.

Once your “skin age” is calculated, you get recommendations to help get your anti-aging skin care regimen off to the right start. Let’s just say I was thrilled my “skin age” wasn’t older than my actual, it was actually right on the money (I was hoping for the skin of a 20 year old… ha)

A few of the results I received in my regimen, I was already aware of (I am really aware of my deep smile lines, and bags under my eyes), and some other areas like my cheeks, and crows’ feet… I never paid too much attention to. But now with an understanding of my strong and weaker areas, I know what I need to focus on/ tackle for my anti-aging skin care regimen.

STEP 2: Use different products. Because we now know our “problem areas”, we have the opportunity for a solution. This means using products that fit into your budget, work the way they are supposed to, and fit right for your needs.

The Olay Skin Advisor Tool doesn’t just show us the problems, it presents solutions right to our screens. The different products offered all fell under the $40.00 mark (bye-bye $200 face creams and eye gels). Besides being affordable, they also can be found easily at Sam’s Club. You don’t even need to leave the comfort of your couch (can you tell I enjoy lazily just relaxing on my couch), you can purchase your products at Sam’s Club online (right on the side of the Skin Advisor Tool).

STEP 3: Stick with it. If you are looking for long term results you have to put in the work long term.

That is the real key to putting your best face forward. Doing all the hard work behind scenes, and stepping out with your best glow to the world. I highly recommend heading to the Olay Skin Care Advisor so you know where to begin on your skin care journey. Without even having to take extra steps or go to another location, your product choices from Sam’s Club are just a click away from your door step. Your skin will thank you for it!

What is your biggest skin care fear as you age? Mine is definitely fine lines and wrinkles (particularly around my mouth-laugh lines). Share yours with us in the comments below.
